Origianlly written and launched by Konstantin Kovshenin in mid-2009, Foller.me is a:

… Twitter service that can provide you with the most detailed information about a specific Twitter user in the least amount of time …

The project’s rich application and use of the Twitter API, OAuth, TwitterCounter Public API, Google Maps API, PHP and MySQL facilitated the surfacing of an easy to use user interface with powerful and valuable features. The project is hosted on Amazon’s EC2 cloud computing service which enables it to drastically reduce load times for pages by rapidly processing database queries.

Foller.me did not stop being a simple web-based service. Being an open-source project with its own API, Foller.me development escalated and took various paths, among which an upcoming ‘Foller.me Lite‘ desktop application developed by Denis Volokh using Adobe AIR.

The service is used by people from all around the world and Foller.me has received worldwide coverage by the most prominent web-resources out there.
